Large Burly Movers?

Ah, I love the smell of cardboard boxes and stereotypes in the morning!

Today was officially moving day! We were in the last minute dash this morning, taking out remaining garbage, labeling things that shouldn't be moved, and trying to make sure that air freight, sea freight, and storage were all properly labeled.

Being military brats, and remembering our past moves (and sketchy movers), Dave and I thought we had best plan for a hungry group of Large Burly Movers (LBMs). We arranged to have lots of doughnuts, coffee, and sodas on standby.

And when the knock on the door finally came, we opened the door expecting our LBMs to be on the other side. However, rather than three LBMs, we were shocked to find three rather petite women (RPW). After a few awkward moments of us staring and realizing how horribly guilty we were of falling into the stereotype of all movers as LBMs, the ladies came inside and got to work.

Later on, after noticing how our RPW had picked at the doughnuts, we picked up lunch at Subway, complete with diet sodas and low fat chips.

Other than dealing with the guilt factor of having women shorter and lighter than me haul our 100 lbs. air-freight boxes down the stairs, this was by far one of the smoothest pack-outs either of has ever had.

Of course it was Dave! :) I wrote the entry, and then Dave edited for comedic relief.
