From Flaming Kabobs to Subzero Dancing

Fire good.Well, it's summer here in Poland and that can only mean one thing: time for Anna's yearly visit! Fortunately, unlike last summer, I actually got to be present for more than two days of this visit.

We started out the evening at Kompania Piwna with flaming chicken kebobs and liter beers.

If the parkas don't keep you warm the vodka will. After consuming more liters of beer than I'm prepared to admit, we decided that we hadn't had quite enough and therefore decided to take a trip to the Ice Bar.

The Ice Bar is, appropriately enough, made entirely of ice. At least, the back room is made entirely of ice. The rest of the place is made of... I dunno. Cucumbers or something.

I'm glad my parka is covering up my lazy eye.The cucumber walls aside, the Ice Bar was a pretty good time. I was a tad disappointed that the rumors I'd heard about an ice statue of Cupid turned out to be just rumors, but life is filled with disappointments. I guess I'll have to continue my search for a statue you can drink from1.

You're dancing to keep warm. So why are you stripping? The good news: they give you parkas to wear while you're in the ice room.

The bad news: they're kind of a "one size fits all, but not really" so Anna's dancing to keep warm was somewhat counter productive in that her parka kept falling off.

1Yes. It's exactly what you're thinking.

Dave, I would normally object to the amazingly embarrassing picture of me dancing in the parka ... only I know that you have worse. You have been very kind, and have I mentioned lately how devilishly handsome you are??
