Travel Log 2.0

The first thing Dave and I noticed was that we took almost no pictures while we were home. Our goals in Colorado and Maryland mainly involved eating and shopping, which rarely presented a photo opp.

We actually took our first photo in Copenhagen on the way to the U.S.. If you haven't been to this airport, you have GOT to go. All of my future travel arrangements will involve a stop over in Copenhagen - ok, probably not if we're traveling eastward, but it would almost be worth it. We were trying to find our gate and wound up exiting the terminal area and going through passport control. When we asked the passport control officer if we were going the right way, he shrugged, said our flight wasn't for another 4 hours, so why not pass through "und power shop." Sure enough, on the other side there was a Mecca of food and shopping. Check our overpriced but really cool lunch (Salad, cheese, and a really big coke!):
In Colorado, we did manage to fit in a day of sightseeing, including balancing rock at Garden of the Gods. We also visited the Living History museum where I used to work, but apparently neither Dave nor I found any photo opportunities in a cool frontier farm where everyone is dressed in costume (what was wrong with me?!).Other highlights of the trip included a trip to Giant for groceries to box up and ship back to Poland, going to Gettysburg and buying a civil war bonnet, finally arranging for my wedding dress to be cleaned, and eating in everything we've had a craving for in the last 1.5 years. We miss the U.S., but it is nice to be home again. Otherwise we would have put on even more weight!
