Meanwhile, Back in Poland...

After a minimal amount of tears (okay...as minimal as possible), Anna and I got Dave off onto his flight, and headed back to the airport parking lot. Since I still don't drive a standard, Anna was stuck driving our newly arrived car. To our horror though, we put the key into the ignition...and couldn't turn the key. No problem, we thought. Just keep trying to fiddle with it, and eventually no problem...

...Fifteen minutes later we were definitely losing our cool and possibly starting to panic. Luckily, we accosted a nice Polish man (who was also driving a VW Golf), explained our problem, and he managed to start the car for us. Don't worry! We knew he had to be okay, and wasn't going to drive off with our car because he had a very nice little girl with him. Sigh. I really hate appearing like a stupid damsel in distress. And boy did we look stupid. Apparently you have to jiggle the wheel to unlock it.

So once again, after an unimpressive start, we were off! We had decided to spend the morning trying to distract me from the fact that my husband just departed for seven months by drowning my sorrows in retail therapy. We headed to the mall! I now have a fabulous new haircut, an adorable new set of shoes, and a yummy new perfume. We also went to see Star Wars again (Anna saw it for the first time).

A pretty full day, to say the least.

Ahahahahahaha, Lissa and I have been left to our own devices!!! Soon the apartment will be overflowing with new shoes, and all meals will involve chocolate. We also might re-decorate :)

You say that as though all meals didn't already involve chocolate...
