Impresa Shopping
Hi all! This weekend's activity, in addition to devouring the new Harry Potter novel, was a trip out to the outskirts of Warsaw to Impresa. Impresa is a tucked away store, that from the outside looks like a house, but on the inside it's a warehouse of a variety of high quality Polish products. I bought a few accent glass pieces from "Krosno." See above and below.
I saw this bowl and couldn't resist! In the picture, you can just make out the swirls of green that make this bowl so unique. For those of you that don't know, Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel both buy almost all of their glass products from Krosno. So all of those really nice accent vases that go for $50 you can get for $10 here. Seriously - Impresa had a many items that had already been marked for Kate Spade, Pottery Barn, and Williams and Sonoma.
I also went ahead and got myself my first piece of handpainted Boleslawicz Polish pottery. My mother-in-law has a Polish baking apple like the one I bought (different pattern), and I thought it would be a really nice thing to have. I really liked this pattern, but there were so many to choose from, I bet next time I'll buy something in another pattern!

So... are you going to follow your mother-in-law's example and keep our apple forever filled with M&M's? If so I might as well just forget about losing weight when I come back to Poland.
I swear, I've probably put on at least 1 pound from those stupid M&M's in the last several weeks.
No...I figure I can't really keep anything sweet in the house for more the two days, so it's better not to tempt us with the M&Ms. But we'll always think of them when we look at the apple!
Are you saying that the Kinder eggs are gone?? Actually, that's quite relieving ... hey, do you want to go shopping with Katie and I as well, please please please??
You bet! I'll try and get directions from the Community Liason Office. There were several turns, and I'd have a hard time getting us back there. :)
Eh, who needs the CLO? Talk to Anna down in the ACA! She knows everything, remember? :)
Oh, thank goodness you are not going to stock those M&Ms! We were out of them for several weeks, and it was okay while I was working, but this summer has been an M&M fest - it is awful for the diet! All of that running so that the M&Ms almost balance the weight "lost."
