Warsaw Marine Ball
Tonight was the 230th Marine Ball in Warsaw (this means we celebrated the Marines 230th birthday...not that this is the 230th ball in Poland). We got together as a group at a friend's house before continuing on to the party. Here's a picture from the pre-party:
Big Kudos and thanks to my mom for making/sending the top and skirt. I think the entire outfit was very snazzy, although next year I think I want to have a dress with color. Most of the women seemed to be wearing black. Me with Ambassador Ashe
I'm afraid I am not a fan of the hair style I got. I asked for a vintage 1920's look, but wound up with this:Ah well. The evening was great. There was lots of fancy food, including my favorite, the E. Wedel (popular Polish company) chocolate fountain. Overall it was a great time, and I can't wait for the next ball of the season: the Caledonian ball.

Your dress is beautifull! I think you look absolutely fabulous, and amusingly your hairstyle makes you look really Russian (which, I suppose, is just a symptom of having your hair done in Eastern Europe).
I'm so jealous, that party looks FABULOUS!
Also ... who are the Caledonians??
Scottsmen apparently. Who knew??
You really do look wonderful, what a great dress! And I love the hairstyle, too!
It's unanimous! I love the hairstyle and the little pin at the shoulder is the perfect touch. You look beautiful and the food looks good, too. Mom
