Leftover Pizza: Better When Grilled

Mom and I discovered this simple truth few weeks ago when our entire neighborhood was without power. I wanted to write about it then, but as I said, we were without power which made webpage updates rather difficult.

Yes, I had 3 pieces of pizza for lunch. No, I don't think eating habits such as these might be behind my gaining 15 lbs. in the last two months. Shame on you for even bringing that up!

So why is grilling superior to microwaving?
  • It's like having your own outdoor pizza kitchen.
  • You get to play with fire.
  • No harmful radiation seepages.
  • You get to play with fire.
  • You don't get that nasty soggy crust from condensation building up in the microwave.
  • You get a much greater sense of accomplishment after grilling something as opposed to popping it into the microwave for 45 seconds.
So the next time you have some left over pizza, fire up the grill and have a pizza roast.

Hmm...grilled pizza...this could be a new culinary trend! Eat your heart out Martha Stewart!

So wait, does this work with frozen pizza? If so, you two are truly geniuses!

Also, I know this is going out on a limb here, but I think the "getting to play with fire" part is really what makes this fun...

Heh heh... hey Beavis... heh heh... she said "fire!"

I don't see why it wouldn't work with frozen pizza... you'd just have to adjust your grill temperature to a lower level so that you can cook the pizza for a longer period of time without burning it.
