Blogger Blotter 2
Keen observers might point out that this post should by rights be titled "Randomness III." In my last Randomness post, however, I mentioned my Blogger Blotter and I've decided that it makes a much better title because alliterations, like dragons, make everything more awesome, which is why my desktop, thumbdrive, laptop, and external hard drive are named Duo Doorknobs, Mighty Match, Mobile Matchbox, and Little Lighter, respectively1. I also have a fun alliterated name for my iPod shuffle, but my memory fails me and I don't feel like booting up Mobile Matchbox to look it up. Rest assured, it's alliterated and it's awesome. But I digress.
In summary: Alliteration good; posts which heretofore appeared under the Randomness title are now referred to as Blogger Blotter posts2.
Today's Blotter post is about a little gem that I've bogarted for almost two years. I've been saving it for a particularly dry blogging spell like the one Melissa and I have fallen into the depths of recently. Moving preparations are boring reading, fortunately for you, throwing people down a flight of stairs is never boring!
Stair Dismount
The game is very simple: select a point on the little guy's body to concentrate all of your pent up anger and frustration, set your angle of attack, and shove him down the stairs! You're assigned points based on how much damage he sustains during his less than conventional trip to terra firma. I refuse to admit how many hours I've spent flinging this little trooper to his death; we'll just say that my high score list tells a tale of innumerable digital souls lost and leave it at that.
If you would like to join me in digitally living out your homicidal fantasies, you can download Stair Dismount at Skinflake.com, which gets my vote for the website with the least appealing name ever.
On a geeky note, this game is an excellent example of ragdoll physics, which are now used in more video games than you can shake a ragdoll at. They've been around for quite some time, but they've started to make frequent large-scale mainstream appearances in recent years.
For added fun, think of someone you really loathe and name your little guy (or gal) after that person before laying the smackdown.

More randomness: Randomness, Randomness II
1There also seems to be a fire theme going there as well...
2So why isn't this Blogger Blotter 3? Because the original Randomness post was just random. It wasn't from the Blotter. Duh.

Dave, sometimes I worry about
those violent tendencies. Should we buy you a punching bag?
