It's Like Déjà Vu All Over Again

Well, we've been in Poland for about 2 ½ years, so everyone knows what that means: it's time for another exciting episode of the "Dave and Melissa Pack-Out Fantastic!"

Keanu Reeves says: 'Whoa.'We had another amazingly smooth pack-out1; our LBMs arrived more or less on schedule, tore into their work like a pack of ravenous lions on an elderly zebra, and were out of here in time for happy hour.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone how brilliant I am. I said for weeks that our pack-out would probably take just one day, but Melissa and everyone else vehemently insisted it would take 1 ½. Gee... sure is crowded with all of these boxes in here... oh wait! There are no boxes! Nee neer nee neer nee neer! I was right! I was right2!

In case you're wondering: yes. That giant conical shaped package is a really big funnel. In other news, we had a repeat offender come to visit us today. Check out the second picture in our post entitled "Ve Got Our Vine" from the day they delivered our stuff. See the guy with his back to the camera? He was the head of our pack-out team today. At least he knew where everything was. He should. After all, quite a bit of it hadn't been moved since he unpacked it.

She's probably watching for Pauly. As with all of our previous moves, Gidget was an immense help. Typical. When there's lazy perching about to be done, she's all over it. Ask her to help by covertly watching the movers, she spends the entire day peering out the window.

1Due in no small part to yours truly slaving away for the last four days to get everything ready for the big day.
2Just let me have this, okay? This is the first time Melissa has acknowledged that I've been right about anything since our wedding day.

Since you took such pleasure in it, you can hear me say it one last time: you were right. Now we return to my old rule of thumb and return the Universe to its normal state: I am always right. Except when I'm not.

On a side note, I was amazed at how fast our LBMs packed us up - our stuff was completely boxed in 4 hours flat, and removed from the apartment in another one hour. An added lunch break and some paperwork signing kept them for another hour. A five hour move with five movers??? Polish movers have moved into the world's fastest time slot (to date).

Dave, just for the record...You were right and Melissa was wrong. Now I just hope the world's fastest movers packed well enough that the goods also arrive intact. lol, MIL
